It’s been a while, hi guys~ (*´艸`*)

Bought a very cute red blouse at H&M today,
and a gorgeous pearl/silver necklace earlier this week. ♥♡

Well yeah… I’ll redo this while outside with better quality+resolution. T_TNormally I cut it every second month to my lower back.
It’s almost down to my thighs again.. but this time I won’t cut it. Just gonna let that bitch grow. :3
And mind you, I’m almost 6ft, so it’s probably longer if you place it on someone else’s head.. I think it’s about 41 inches.

Don’t be ashamed of who you are!

Note: People are different and have different levels of anxiety and depression.
There is absolutely no guarantee that this will decrease your level, but it is worth trying in most cases.

Anxiety and depression are conditions that can easily be treated, as long as you do what your doctor tells you to. Following his advice, being completely honest and open is the best thing you can do.

Gonna try to make this a short and nice post, so here we go.
Never mind, it turned into another wall of text, lol.

What is anxiety?
“A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.” From my experience, you feel guilty all the time for no reasons, your stomach and/or chest hurts and you generally feel terrible. It’s hard to eat, sleep, concentrate and function fully socially. It is very uncomfortable. Anxiety can be heard to deal with due to the physical symptoms and pain.

What is depression?
“A condition of mental disturbance, typically with lack of energy and difficulty in maintaining concentration or interest in life.” You wouldn’t believe how common depression is. It’s almost safe to say that almost everyone has or have had it at some point. It is much easier to deal with than anxiety, because it’s mostly a mental thing. Then again, people have different types of depressions. Normally, you feel very lazy due to the lack of energy, you feel very down and sometimes you can easily feel the difference between sadness and depression. In a lot of cases, you cry easily.. you cry for no reasons and you get very sad during evening/night time.

What are some small daily tips and tricks?
☆ - Avoid coffee and coke, they can increase anxiety.
☆ - Exercise, walking, jogging has all been proved to help against many people with anxiety attacks. Even me! I love doing small leg-exercises.
☆ - One day at a time: Do not stress about tomorrow. Today is today, take one day at a time!
☆ - I know this one is hard, but try forcing yourself to have a somewhat decent sleep schedule. Don’t sleep too much, and not too little.
☆ - Breathe exercises: This will help you feel you’ve got more control on what’s happening to your body. Another way that might prevent anxiety attacks.
☆ - Eat healthy: Eating healthy food regularly will give you more energy. The better energy you have, the more your mood will increase.

How can I manage my anxiety and/or depression?
There are a few tips and tricks out there, that you should definitely try out.
★ - One of the best ways (for some), is to know what it is.
I had GAD for years without knowing what was going on with me, and it was quite scary. After being diagnosed, it was a lot easier to deal with the fear and in a few cases, I managed to make it go away before an attack. There’s a thing called “having a fear for the fear”, and it’s a very evil trap when you suffer from anxiety. Eventually, you might be able to recognize your conditional and find things that helps to prevent an anxiety attack.

★ - Stay busy, distract yourself and try to occupy your mind.
The worst thing you can do when feeling down or having anxiety attacks is to shut yourself in. Please, don’t do it. Once you shut yourself inside, you’ll end up repeating the process each time and it’ll turn into a nasty habit that can go on for years. Your energy will most definitely become worse which MIGHT lead to worse depression. Find yourself some hobbies, do something you like. The key is so stay busy and try to keep your mind on something else. But please, do not stress! If you want a break, take a break. Don’t force yourself, it can actually make you miserable.

★ - Talk about it, embrace your condition(s)
Now, this is definitely the first BIG step to recovery. Find someone to talk to. A friend you trust, a family member or even a complete stranger. There are so many nice people on Tumblr who are more than happy to talk to you. Heck, feel free to spam my inbox with questions, I have far too much experience with these conditions for my own good. You will never be a bother to me. Don’t be shy. Anonymous is enabled, you can talk to me about anything.

Most countries have organizations or places where you can talk to people for free, or even get free medical help. A lot of countries offer free conversations in awareness that there are people out there who might not want to tell their parents or have the money for it. The best thing to do would be to go to your doctor. Tell him/her exactly how you’re feeling and don’t be afraid to leave any details out. My first visit? I cried my eyes out and could barely talk from hulking so much. My doctor told me straight out that things will be okay again and that he believed in me. Your doctor has met so many patients and I can promise you, you will not be the first person crying, if you end up doing that. Crying is okay. When you’re sitting in that office knowing you will get help, crying feels great. Your doctor will understand. He will do his best to help you, and he will not give up if you don’t.

In most case, you will get prescribed some medication most suited to your condition. One thing you gotta know, though, anti-depression and anxiety medication is a long-term thing, which means that they might take some weeks before they have a full effect. But this is something your doctor will tell you. Once it’s been a certain amount of time, you will be amazed as to how much better you’re feeling, how much more energy you have and so on.

Just please remember: Be patient.
Things will be better. A lot better!

You will not regret one single second going to the doctor or talking to someone about it. If you wanna start small, my inbox is always open for messages. Short messages, long messages. They’re all welcome. If you want to talk in private, you can e-mail me:

☆ Learn to love your condition. Become comfortable with it, some day you might be able to casually bring it up and show people it’s not a big deal — because it’s not. If you think it’s uncommon, I can promise you it’s not. Chances are, the person sitting next to you on the bus has it. Your boss might have it. Heck, I bet someone in your friend circle has it! Some of my friends appeared to have these conditions, and they opened up and learned that it’s a normal thing. About a year ago, I couldn’t even tell my family. And now? I shared this with 2000+ people and I don’t regret it one second!

There is so much more I want to write here, but I think this is good for now.

Breathe, take it easy & don’t stress.

You are good enough; your life is worth just as much as anyone else’s.

First chapter, new book.

Through your childhood, your youth and your growth, you will experience so many ups and downs that you cannot keep track or count them. It is true what they say: What doesn’t kill you simply makes you stronger. Sometimes in life, we have to do sacrifices. There is nothing more important than your own health and mind. Nothing. You can’t ignore things. Things won’t go away if you ignore them. You must face your fear and deal with it.

Recently, I made the most difficult choice of my life. Some people might think I will regret it later on, but to be fair, I think it’ll only help me on my journey. After two years, I decided to leave my boyfriend so I could focus on myself and my mental health. There will be no one as nice as him, no one will ever love me as much as he does, but how can I let someone love me if I can’t even love myself? How should I be able to love someone if I can’t love myself? No matter what you go through in life, you must always remember that the most important person in your life is yourself. Before anything else, take care of yourself. If something brings you down, you know what you have to do. Don’t ignore it. Confront it, try to fix it, or in worse case: Dismiss it. Don’t let it remain a problem if you don’t have to. If it’s a choice, pick the one that is in YOUR advantage. It’s not about being selfish, it’s about standing up for yourself and knowing what’s better for you. Take one day at a time; don’t think and stress too much about your future, things will go as they will.

If you ever find yourself in a tough situation, don’t be afraid to be a little selfish. If it means you will feel better and it will ease your mind, just do it. Anything to prevent yourself from feeling stuck somewhere; it’s a pretty awful feeling and you won’t recover unless you move on.

Being happy with yourself is the key to making someone else happy.
It’s a perfect beginning.
